I hope you are all back on track after the long weekend. I got to say, it was hard being back in the office yesterday. It was such a beautiful weekend with amazing weather and I got to enjoy it with the family and my boyfriend. For Memorial Day I would have loved to enjoy it at the beach but that’s the day everyone decides to go as well therefore it is super crowded. The traffic coming back is not fun so I decided to stay in town. My boyfriend and I went to Downtown Annapolis and I definitely enjoyed every second. Downtown Annapolis is not to far from where I live and so I decided to go somewhere I hadn’t been. I would of never thought it’d be so soothing. It has a feel of country in my opinion; it’s like a little town and I loved that! It has cobblestone streets, boutiques, restaurants, museums, parks, theaters and just about a little of everything. The waterfront, amazing view, great weather, seafood, ice cream and amazing company made my day….
We are half way through the week and summer’s around the corner. The temperature here in the DMV went up really fast. It has been in the 80-90s and humid the past two weeks. Summer isn’t my favorite season, I dislike humidity and blazing temperatures. I mean who likes feeling and being sticky! School finally ended last Friday and it feels so good not having school the next day or homework but it also feels weird. To celebrate that I was done with this semester, my bestie and I went to dinner to Redwood on Bethesda Row and for dessert we had Georgetown cupcakes. If you haven’t been to Redwood I definitely recommend it. I had such a good time, girl talk, laughs, great food, riding back home with the top down and great music was the best way to say goodbye to stressful finals….
What an amazing weekend I just had! I’m sure you all did as well next to your beautiful mommies. This is another one of my favorite holidays. Having to celebrate my mom and dedicate this day to her feels so good, and while I will always fall short and it won’t be enough, seeing the smile on her face lets me know she’s happy. Yesterday was all about her, gave her roses which is her favorite flower, had brunch together, went to the Mother’s Day service at church and finally ended our night with dinner at the restaurant of her choice. What did you do with your mom? Comment down below….
“A Sunday well spent brings a week of content” definitely believe in this quote. I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Once again I have been gone for a few weeks and again its because of school. With the end of the semester being around the corner, due dates for projects, and papers are getting close and I have been dedicating most of my time to them. Ahh! And let me not even mention finals…but we can do all things through Christ! Definitely can’t wait for the my summer vacation.
